The Educational Society of Professionals and Vocationals was founded by like minded educationists, philanthropists and public spirited persons, dedicated to task of bringing about socio-economic transformations in keeping with the National Priorities. It was registered as a 'Charitable Institution' under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The objective of the society has been to provide skilled manpower to support the vast development programmes, being implemented in the country. In turn it enjoined on the Society to establish, promote and propagate vocational and technical education programmes to provide the right kind of professional and skilled personnel needed. The first venture of the society was to establish 'New Delhi College of Commerce' for training Cost and Works Accountants, duly approved by the National Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India, at N-14, South Extension, Part-I, New Delhi, India. This Institution was set up in the year 1973 and by now has turned out thousands of students many of whom are in controlling and Executive positions indicating the cherished hopes of the planners.
